by the end of 2024 i will have to move out because the landlords are going to get us evicted, and i just started high school, but in the meantime i will update you all on phiftysixty (my cartoon)

animation progress is going very well, over 45 seconds of animation have been finished since the last blog post here!!! the character in the screenshot right here is the main antagonist of the cartoon, voiced by me, because i don't have a budget to get voice actors

at this rate, i will get the entire thing done before 2025! that's exciting right?

also, how could i forget to mention but my birthday is this month!!! the big sixteen is right around the corner for me, it is on the 29/9, and it's just 26 days away!! how exciting

should i make these update blog posts like a monthly thing? right now it is, might as well make it an intentional thing

the first scene is finished animation wise, i've asked a friend to help with the background music but they're busy so they won't be able to do that for at least a while, on the good news though, i have started to work on the second scene!!! i don't want to say what happens in it because i haven't even storyboarded all of it yet, but here's a little sun from it's first shot, cool right? i wasn't sure on if to keep the face or not, but i went with as to make sure the world feels goofy and a little childish & over the top, very short update i know but since i already have the vision for it finalized i don't really have much to update you all on other then "i am doing it"

although i can say i am not sure if i will finish it before summer vacation ends, very low chance of that being complete in that time frame

anyway yeah remember to check it out when i finish it ok bye

it's going pretty well! still on the first scene though, and so far i've taken the risky decision to not storyboard anything and just kind of draw everything frame by frame from the mind, does that sound like a good idea? if you know anything about animating, probably not!!! but don't worry, everything is going fine and if i ever want to switch to actually storyboarding stuff i will, one of the reasons i avoided that in the first place was that i wanted the cartoon to have a very crude aesthetic, but i could probably keep that while actually storyboarding, anyway sorry for rambling about such a non-interesting topic, and now.. onto actually interesting stuff!!

assuming you haven't read my previous post, the cartoon is about 2 little ex-minions of the almighty princess of, earth, i guess, trying to pull the ultimate heist to hopefully afford a neat house far away from society, and there's also lots of cat ears, due to my lack of voice acting skills, thick accent, and a pretty bad microphone, i had to resort to having character dialogue be presented through magical floating text, that might be changed later on? i can't know, :P

so yeah, thank you everyone that has been patiently waiting, and to all my friends who support me

yeah!!! you might have seen these little rascles on my profile before, well they are going to be featured in a brand new cartoon i am working on! the sketch before you is a mock up of a scene i had in mind, not to be confused with storyboards, i will be animating, writing, directing, all that lame production lables that you keep hearing about, only thing i might need assistence with is music, i'l try contacting musicians that i think could do the job and style i am looking for and if i can't find someone i might just either use royality free music or open up for collaborations, never used that feature before so that would be interesting, but back on topic...... yeah!!! cartoon!!! don't expect it to be anything too spectacular for i am just one person with adobe flash and a dream

i don't want to share too much information about the cartoon itself, like the plot and stuff, but i can promise it will have better microphone quality then my previous animation, and maybe even a fight scene? depends, i still don't have the whole thing actually written, would probably work better as a story-board driven movie since i plan on having lots of visual gags and stuff, with my main inspiration for the artstyle being stuff like azumanga daioh (my favorite anime!!!) and fellow newgrounds users like vintdoo and ennuikal

in the meantime, i might make some progress posts (no promises!!!) and work on other projects i am a part of like funky birds by ronnycommitment and the rest of the birdhouse dev team, and hopefully enjoy the summer vacation next week, still need to finish up the last few days of middle school lol

this is me! (shoko is the me in question) (artistic interpretation, i am not a cartoon character in real life)

i like drawing and animating stuff that i am interested in like angry birds and other loser baby stuff like that

i draw using adobe flash cs6 pro and sometimes i tip my toes in the waters of ms paint, and my favorite video games are fortnite, team fortress 2, friday night funkin', and any slingshot-styled angry birds game (except ab2, bleh)

i am also (WARNING!!!) transgender, pretty closeted about that but i am fine with sharing that online, and i also have autism since i was born, so please be patient with me

i plan on eventually animating a short movie / pilot / animated thing about these characters i have been doodling to myself for a few months now, if i can't do that then i will be really sad because i love them

i've first heard of newgrounds around the big friday night funkin' craze going on back in the early 2020s, this site looked very special! i had to join it, i made an account back then, abandoned it, and recently made a new one (this one!!!) so i could post my artworks and stuff, i already kind of do that on twitter but since elon musk is a dumb idiot who should be publicly executed for crimes against humanity i don't really feel proud to be there, here on the other hand i feel right at home! i don't think i will ever entirely move to newgrounds from twitter though, because on twitter i can tweet unfinished/doodles that aren't as high effort as the stuff here, which is probably for the better honestly i am entirely content with using both websites unless elon does something that's just so horrible i'l have to move to here forever

i love all the creations people are posting here and stuff, and i am proud to be a part of it :-)
